It was 1904 when we started out the Bay City Auto Company, the first Cadillac dealership in the world, also the first (and last) independent Cadillac distributor. Four locations later, after World War II, we became Mitchell Cadillac in honor to the founders. In 2005, the fourth generation Mitchell-Cotten family returned to its roots and The Bay City Motor Company began selling classic cars. For more about our history, click here. Today, blocks from where we started we sell the cool cars that our fathers and grandfathers sold new. We locate, buy, sell, and trade classic automobiles world-wide. Located in Michigan's largest antique district, we have thousands of visitors each month. We have a team of classic-certified mechanics that inspect our vehicles and make the repairs needed to provide the buyer a surprise free ownership experience. All our cars go through our detail shop; which cleans, conditions, protects, and revitalizes the vehicles making them show ready for you! Occasionally, we find a project car with promise. Then. we turn our expert restorers loose, and they turn it into a show car. Yup, it’s sold "As-Is"…but… Buy with confidence knowing we have disclosed everything we know to be wrong with the vehicle. When we find something wrong we fix it or report it as needing to be fixed, and price the vehicle accordingly. Our commitment to you: if you are not happy with the vehicle when you have it inspected or come to pick it up we will refund your money. Once you take delivery of the vehicle there will be no refunds. Most of our vehicles are eligible for “extended warranties.” These Service Contracts allow you to have your vehicle repaired at nearly any service garage in the country, without the worry of how you are going to pay for the repairs. Hum, cash or credit? We've all asked that question hundreds of times! Well, you can take ownership of many of our vehicles with as little as 10% down on loans with terms up to 12 years! Some of our clients choose to lease these special vehicles. If financing a portion of your purchase is best for you, the following links may be helpful. You may also want to consider your local Credit Union. Many times, these organizations will match the loan terms and your payments support your community.

Shipping your vehicle is an important task. You want your shipper to be dependable, careful, transport the vehicle in a reasonable amount of time and have it arrive in the condition she left in. We have carefully selected our shippers to ensure that your new treasure arrives to you right. We have our vehicles shipped world-wide and in both open and enclosed transports. We will be happy to get you a quote on door to door transportation. Please email (Sales@TBCMC.com) or call us (989-891-0900) with your zip code and tell us which car you would like delivered to your home and how you would like it shipped. Please be aware that International quotes take up to two business days. Of course, you are welcome
to find your own shipper to transport your vehicle. We do ask that your
carrier pickup your vehicle within ten business days of purchase. |

While a vehicle is at auction, we reserve the right to cancel all bids and end an auction early at any time should the vehicle no longer be available for sale. The following terms of sale apply to all of our sales: An agreement to purchase a vehicle is made when the purchase price of the vehicle is agreed upon by both parties. Upon this agreement:
ATTENTION: Several customers have reported receiving second chance offers or other special offers on our cars. Occasionally, we do send out second chance offers and we try to respond promptly to every e-mail and phone call.
